Something to keep in your purse
My mom is the best at finding cute little things when she shops around. A while back she had found these little matchbook nail files to keep in your purse. You just break one off whenever you need it and throw it out when you are done. They were cute because they were mini, but they were just plain black and not the best quality. The other day though she found these ones at Home Outfitters and bought one for my sister and I. I think they are adorable and they are better quality than the old ones (notice the thickness). What a perfect little thing to keep in your purse. You never know when you are going to need one!

DIY: Scarf Hanger
For those of you that are obsessed with scarves like I am, you will appreciate this post. My scarf collection just keeps getting bigger and bigger because I seriously love wearing them. But the way I had them hanging just wasn't working. They were taking up too much room in my closet and ended up getting all wrinkly. So I decided to search online for different ways to hang scarves and came across a DIY Scarf Hanger video. It was the perfect solution! All you need are shower curtain rings (I got some at the dollar store) and a hanger. Just attach the rings onto the hanger, hang your scarves through the rings, and voila! Not only do they stay wrinkle-free, but they are easy to look through and don't take up too much room. Here is what it looks like (yes...I have more than one hanger and am going on my third). Can't wait to buy some new ones this fall ;)

Keep Calm and Drink Up
I absolutely love quotes. Whether they are about life, love, inspiration, motivation, or just completely random, I think they are fun to read. Since I really enjoy reading them, I have little quote books in my room that I bought from Chapters. The first little book I bought was "Keep Calm and Carry On" which is filled with life quotes about happiness, friendship, change, mistakes, failures, etc. Then one day I saw another one called "Screw Calm and Get Angry". I had to get it since some days (okay...a lot of days) I am very negative! This one has quotes about hypocrisy, morality, anger, etc. I gotta say...that one is fun to read when you're in a bad mood!
So then last week, I happened to come across a new one called "Keep Calm and Drink Up". Had to get this one too for the little collection going on! The quotes are about wine, beer, rum, vodka, and drinking in general. It's entertaining to read! Here are photos of some of the quotes. I wonder what they will come out with next?

Dedicated to Starbucks
As I already said in my DIY Iced Skinny Vanilla Latte post, I am a Starbucks lover. Whether it's a hot coffee or an iced coffee, a hot tea or an iced tea lemonade, a cappuccino or a frappuccino, Starbucks is the best! But it's not only their drinks that I love - it's their atmosphere. All throughout University so many people would be studying away at the library or somewhere else quiet. But me? I got through University by studying at Starbucks on a daily basis. Some wondered how I could get work done when there was so much background noise - but something about being there with my warm latte made it easy for me to get into the zone. So...I love their drinks and I love their atmosphere....AND I love taking random pictures of their cups and signs (don't make fun of me!). Whether it's with my SLR, my regular camera, or my phone, I just love it. Here are some random photos dedicated to my love second love of life :)

Greece 2006
Exactly 5 years ago, my sister and I traveled to Greece for the first time. The main reason we went was for my sisters best friend's wedding, but since we had never been to the motherland before we thought we would make the most of it (obviously!). In 5 weeks, we traveled to Athens, Ios, Santorini, and Rhodes (which was where the wedding was). What an amazing experience it was! Whether we were on the mainland or the islands, it was all beautiful and picture perfect. It's all so vivid in my memory that I really can't believe it was 5 years ago!
Of the MANY photos that I took during our trip, here are a select few. I will have to put up more in another post!
Enjoy :)

Sippin on Sangria
I had been meaning to make sangria ever since the nice weather came along - but somehow I never got around to it!! Since today was a beautiful day and I didn't have much else on my agenda for the afternoon, I finally decided to pick up some wine. Here are a couple photos of how it turned out. For my first time making it, I think I did pretty good! It was perfect to sip on during a beautiful sunny day :)

The Little Blue Box
Today I went shopping in the states to pick out my graduation gift from my parents. They wanted me to buy something very special that will last forever - so right away I thought Tiffany's. I mean, what's more special than jewellery that comes in the Little Blue Box? Since I already have a few silver pieces, I wanted to go with something gold. I decided on the Elsa Peretti Open Heart pendant in gold and am very happy with my decision! It's simple, elegant, timeless, and will always remind me of what I accomplished in my 5 long and hardworking years of University :) Thank you to my wonderful parents!
