Sippin on Sangria

I had been meaning to make sangria ever since the nice weather came along - but somehow I never got around to it!! Since today was a beautiful day and I didn't have much else on my agenda for the afternoon, I finally decided to pick up some wine. Here are a couple photos of how it turned out. For my first time making it, I think I did pretty good! It was perfect to sip on during a beautiful sunny day :)

The Little Blue Box

Today I went shopping in the states to pick out my graduation gift from my parents. They wanted me to buy something very special that will last forever - so right away I thought Tiffany's. I mean, what's more special than jewellery that comes in the Little Blue Box? Since I already have a few silver pieces, I wanted to go with something gold. I decided on the Elsa Peretti Open Heart pendant in gold and am very happy with my decision! It's simple, elegant, timeless, and will always remind me of what I accomplished in my 5 long and hardworking years of University :) Thank you to my wonderful parents!

Charged Up Cherry

Today my sister and I were treated to a pedicure at Refresh Day Spa thanks to our Yiayia (grandmother) who is in town for the week! When it came time to decide on a colour, I wanted to pick something different. But this didn't happen seeing as my eyes kept going right back to my absolute favourite colour - Charged Up Cherry by O.P.I. It's bright, fun, and perfect for the summer! After an hour of spa treatment on my tootsies, I can definitely say that I left feeling relaxed and refreshed :)

A walk in Port Credit

This weekend I went to visit my lovely boyfriend in Mississauga. Whenever I go up for a visit we always make a trip out to the harbour front in Port Credit if the weather lets us! It is the perfect place to go for a walk or to just sit by the water and enjoy the scenery. This weekend the weather was a little iffy, but luckily it held out for us! Here are some random photos from our walk.

Omelet Anyone?

I love making omelets (egg-white omelets that is!). They are quick and easy to make, and it's always fun trying new ingredients! I typically add sugar snap peas, black beans, and red or green peppers. But yesterday there were no peppers lying around in the fridge, so I experimented by adding some sauteed spinach. The final product was delicious! I will definitely continue adding spinach. Any other suggestions on what to put in an omelet?

DIY: Iced Skinny Vanilla Latte

Anyone who knows me is well aware of the fact that I LOVE Starbucks (thanks to my sister who got me addicted years ago!). My daily drink is a tall 2 pump extra hot skinny vanilla latte, but now with the summer heat I have been getting it iced (yum).

Now, as all Starbucks lovers know...it can get pretty darn expensive having their coffee every day. So to save a bit of money I have started to make my iced latte at home a couple days a week by buying their Sugar-Free Vanilla syrup. As long as you have an espresso machine, syrup (if you like it sweet), milk, and ice, you are ready to go!! Here are some photos I took of my DIY iced skinny vanilla latte.

Add as much syrup as you like depending on your sweet tooth

Add milk

Voila! Perfect for those days where you need to save some moula!

White Wine Spritzers

My sister and I were bored a couple nights ago so we decided to stop by LCBO for some chilled wine. We love any kind of Pinot Grigio, but Yellow Tail is always the way to go! When we got home we noticed a bottle of Perrier in the fridge and thought we would mix the two to make white wine spritzers. They were quite delicious and refreshing!! Next time we are going to make sangria.

Hello Blogging!

Hello All!

So…I am finally going to try out the blogging life. I have to admit that I am quite excited to try this out! The main reason I wanted to start my own blog was because of my beautiful and talented cousin Anna from Toronto. She started her photo blog www.annawithlove.com a year ago and I ALWAYS love looking at it whenever she posts something new. She takes stunning photos and is extremely creative.

So now I am going to attempt to start my own! On "Petite&Chic" I will be posting photos that I have taken and edited (which I am very new at this and am still learning), favourite quotes, and anything else that I find interesting or that catches my eye!
